About

  • Steve Chan is a Film / Game / Multimedia composer based in Taiwan.

    He worked not only as a composer but also as a songwriter, arranger, sound designer, bassist, guitarist, and mixing engineer.

    Steve started studying music in high school. His passion for scoring music for films, games, and multimedia budded from watching Mononoke Hime, which music was composed by Joe Hisaishi. It became a turning point in his life. He decided to put all his efforts into being a composer, scoring for films, games, and multimedia since then.

    Soon, he began to devote himself to a variety of music production in his college life in National Sun Yat-sen University. He writes not only film or game music but also songs, background music for markets, theater music, etc.

    He enjoyed using his music to tell stories. In 2021, Steve collaborated with other classmates and established a music studio called "NO.429 STUDIO". They wrote many songs, recorded them together, and even signed up with publishers to publish their songs.

    This year, they started working as musicians, and Steve released his two singles, "Hanabi" & "Walking on the Street." Next year, Steve started his first internship as a game music and sound effects assistant at Isinging Co. He designs music and sound effects for many games made by different gaming companies.

    In 2023, Steve started pursuing his master's degree at Los Angeles College of Music. He sought opportunities to collaborate with various artists because he loves sharing and discussing his thoughts and ideas with collaborators. He always tries his best to do his work, and he is still trying to dig deep into his soul and discover more possibilities in music.
